Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4)
As a spin-off from Faradion’s focus on sodium-ion technology, we have developed a ground-breaking synthetic method for certain lithium-ion cathode materials that results in a significant reduction in manufacturing costs. One such active material which can benefit from this manufacturing technique is lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4), which is fast becoming one of the most popular Li-ion cathode materials worldwide, due to its low cost, high performance and good safety characteristics.
LiFePO4 prepared using our proprietary manufacturing technique is indistinguishable from currently available commercial material. However, the cost advantage of our new technique makes this manufacturing method a very attractive alternative to currently available methods.
